To shut down the Slate, follow these steps:
NOTE:
If the Slate is in the Sleep state or in Hibernation, you must first exit Sleep or Hibernation
before shutdown is possible.
1.
Save your work and close all open programs.
2.
Tap Start.
3.
Tap Shut down.
If the Slate is unresponsive and you are unable to use the preceding shut down procedure, try the
following emergency procedures in the sequence provided:

Press the Ctrl+alt+del button on the top edge of the Slate, next to the Home button, and then
slide the power switch down.
●
Slide and hold the power switch down for at least 5 seconds.
●
Disconnect the Slate from external power.
