Plug the power cord into the AC adapter.

Plug the other end of the power cord into an AC outlet.

Using battery power
When a charged battery is in the Slate and the Slate is not plugged into external power, the Slate
runs on battery power. When the Slate is plugged into external AC power, the Slate runs on AC
power.
If the Slate contains a charged battery and is running on external AC power supplied through the AC
adapter, the Slate switches to battery power if the AC adapter is disconnected from the Slate.
NOTE:
The display brightness is decreased to save battery life when you disconnect AC power. To
increase brightness, reconnect the AC adapter.
WARNING!
Battery life varies, depending on power management settings, programs running on the Slate, display
brightness, external devices connected to the Slate, and other factors.
Displaying the remaining battery charge
Tap the Power icon in the Top Bar of the Home screen.
To reduce potential safety issues, use only the battery provided with the Slate.
