These preferences are specific to the touch screen and the Slate. To change or create flick assignments: Tap Start > Control Panel. Tap Hardware and Sound > Pen and Touch > Flicks tab. Tap Navigational flicks and editing flicks, and then tap Customize. Follow the on-screen instructions to change or create a flick assignment. -

The Shut down command closes all open programs, including the operating system, and then turns off the display and Slate.
