Adjusting the volume

You can adjust the volume using the following volume controls:
To increase volume, press the Volume up button (1) on the top edge of the Slate.
To decrease volume, press the Volume down button (2) on the top edge of the Slate.
HP TouchSmart Home volume control:
a.
Tap the Volume icon in the Top Bar of the Home screen.

Increase or decrease the volume by moving the slider up or down. Tap the Mute icon to
mute the volume.
Windows® volume control:
a.
Tap the Volume icon in the notification area, at the far right of the taskbar.
b.
Increase or decrease the volume by moving the slider up or down. Tap the Mute icon to
mute the volume.
c.
To open the Volume Mixer dialog box, tap Mixer.
d.
In the Speakers column, increase or decrease the volume by moving the slider up or down.
You can also mute the volume by tapping the Mute icon.
Inward camera
Audio-out (headphone)/Audio-in
(microphone) combo jack
Speakers (2)
Description
Records video and captures still photographs.
NOTE:
To capture still photos and record video, you can
use the Camera software. Tap the Inward button to use the
inward camera.
Produces sound when connected to optional powered
stereo speakers, headphones, earbuds, a headset, or
television audio. Also connects an optional headset
microphone.
NOTE:
When an audio component is connected to the
jack, the Slate's speakers are disabled.
The audio component cable must have a 4-conductor
connector.
Produce sound.
