Completing the controller module replacement
In the StoreVirtual Management Console:
Procedure
1. Navigate to the Storage Controllers section to verify the controller module status. The controller status is
listed next to the controller name in the left list pane.
2. Use Restore peer to reassociate the two storage controllers. The Restore peer function will be required in

NOTE:
If the failed controller has not been configured, the Restore peer function is only required if there is a
version mismatch between the failed controller and the replacement controller.
3. Fail back the storage controller.
NOTE:
You can locate failback in the StoreVirtual Management Console Storage Systems pane.
See the HPE StoreVirtual 3200 Management Console Online Help for more information.

Removing an I/O module
Procedure
1. Unplug all cables from the I/O module.
a. Do not unplug the power cables if performing a hot or warm swap.
b. If SAS cables are being used to connect enclosures and you must disconnect from the affected
enclosure, be sure that you do not remove both SAS cables at the same time. At least one SAS cable
must be connected to the component to ensure access continues to the drives in the enclosure.
2. Loosen the captive retaining thumbscrew (1), and swing out the I/O module handle (2).
