Description Cellular System Overview NOTE The following description is intended only as a preliminary general introduction to cellular systems. This description is greatly simplified and does not illustrate the full operation capabilities, techniques, or technology involved in cellular systems.
Overall Concept Cellular systems are used to provide radiotelephone service in the frequency range of 826 – 891 MHz. ① Microprocessor (ARM926EJ-S) Subsystem The ARM926EJ-S embedded microprocessor supports some features such as : 16KB Instruction and 16KB Data cache, ARM v5TEJ instructions set, Higher performance 5 stage pipeline, Harvard cached architecture. The MSM6100 is designed to dual memory buses separating the memory subsystem from low-speed peripherals such as LCD panels.

▶ Receive part The MSM6100 directly controls the RFR6120-1 chipset using the SBI bus and clock of the TCXO using TRK_LO_ADJ. ⑤ UART INTERFACE The MSM6100 provides the UART channel that was conformed by RS-232 interface protocol. The UART can be used as a serial data port in Mobile Station to test and debug whether the system is written properly, or make it possible user-defined download program.
