The Windows XP (Professional) operating system has an embedded PPPoE dial-up software. To set up the dial-up connection in Windows XP system, do as follows: 1. Choose Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications > Network Connections. 2. Click Create a new connection in the displayed page. 3. - Page 9 3. Make sure that no telephone or fax machine is connected directly to the ADSL line. 4. Replace the old ISA network adapter w ith a new 10/100M PCI network adapter and install the latest driver. 5.
