4 ADJUSTMENT LENSES 4 ADJUSTMENT 4-1. BACK FOCUS ADJUSTMENT OF THE LENS If the relationship between the image plane of the lens and the image plane of the television camera is incorrect, the object goes out of focus when the lens is zoomed. Follow the procedure below to adjust the back focus of the lens.

This phenomenon is referred to as “F drop.” The F-Hold function has been provided in order to enable zoom operations to be performed only within the range of the focal length where this F drop does not occur.

In macro shooting, the object distance becomes shorter than the normal minimum object distance (M.O.D.).
