Open the paper deck.

If the machine is in the Sleep mode (the touch panel is not displayed, and only
may be unable to open the paper deck unit. In this case, press
and then press the open button on the paper deck unit.
Remove any jammed paper.

Look carefully, as jammed paper may be diffi cult to see.
Close the paper deck.

When closing the paper deck, be careful not to get your fi ngers caught, as this may result in
personal injury.
